Job Summary
Oversee the Finance & Procurement Division for the NYC Department of Design and Construction, directing budget planning, capital and operating budget management, and vendor payments. Serve as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Savings Officer (CSO) to identify inefficiencies, implement cost-saving measures, and ensure responsible use of public funds. Lead financial governance, IT systems analysis for operational efficiency, capital commitment goals, and compliance with city policies. Manage staff and drive administrative, financial, and regulatory reform initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of experience of a nature to qualify for the duties of the position, at least 18 months of which must have been in an administrative, managerial, consultative, or executive capacity or supervising personnel performing activities related to the duties of the position; or
- A combination of education and/or experience equivalent to “A” above. However, all candidates must have the 18 months of administrative, managerial, executive, consultative or supervisory experience described in "A" above.
