Job Summary
CFO to lead the financial strategy, capital raising, and governance for Black Giant Chile. The role oversees project cost controls, regulatory obligations (SII, IFRS, royalty frameworks), and in-country finance, while managing fundraising and capital markets activity (equity raises, project finance debt) and engaging with investors and strategic partners. Key duties include structuring and executing project financing for a $1B+ capital project, coordinating with the CEO, COO, and Board on strategic decisions, building the finance function in Santiago, and maintaining relationships with institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and multilateral lenders. Requires fluency in English and Spanish, and a global, high-growth mindset in a pre-revenue or early-production environment.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years in senior finance, CFO or equivalent experience in mining, energy, critical minerals, or project-based industries
- Proven track record leading equity and/or project finance debt raises
- Experience with development finance institutions, export credit agencies, or multilateral lenders
- Strong international background across multiple countries and financial markets
- Excellent English and Spanish communication skills
- CPA, CFA, MBA, or equivalent
