Job Summary
The CFO/COO leads Waverly Senior Services, Waverly Heights, and Waverly Care Associates in strategic financial stewardship and operational performance. Responsibilities span maintaining financial strategy and sustainability, budgeting/forecasting/accounting/auditing, cash management, internal controls, and regulatory compliance; overseeing non-clinical operations; managing external auditors, bankers, and insurance programs; engaging with senior leadership, the board, and external partners; and driving performance improvement, risk management, capital planning, and emergency leadership. The role requires senior-level leadership experience in finance/operations within healthcare, senior living, or related service environments, a strong foundation in GAAP and financial analysis, and advanced degrees (MS/MBA preferred) with CPA designation preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Master's degree strongly preferred
- CPA designation preferred
- minimum seven to ten years of progressive executive leadership experience in finance/operations/healthcare/senior living or related service environment
- expertise in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, audit preparation, internal controls, and strategic decision support
- knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations affecting financial operations, life safety, environmental services, food service operations, and information systems
- excellent written, verbal, analytical, organizational, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
- ability to interpret financial and operational data, identify trends, and make recommendations aligned with mission and margin
- commitment to customer service, resident satisfaction, professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical leadership
