Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - Project Based

Job Summary
Ensure monthly financial statements are completed accurately and reconcile all balance sheet accounts in compliance with company policies. Prepare corporate reports, forecasts, and cost reports while maintaining internal controls for a clean audit. Direct revenue cycle operations to maximize collections, minimize bad debt, and ensure 100% insurance verification. Supervise Accounting, Patient Accounting, Health Information Management, and other assigned departments. Prepare annual operating and capital budgets, analyze variances, and provide financial leadership to facility managers. This project-based role requires 100% travel with remote availability between projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or business-related field with major in Accounting
- Minimum 3 years successful CFO experience in a behavioral healthcare setting
- Previous Behavioral healthcare experience
- Previous experience with a proprietary healthcare system
- CPA or Master's degree
- Proven financial analysis skills
- Experience working with information technology and proficiency with software packages including Excel and Word
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to think strategically and solve problems
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with facility staff, physicians and corporate staff
- Ability to lead with a high degree of emotional intelligence and ethics
- Must be able to travel 100% of the time
