Job Summary
Advise the CEO and governing body on financial strategy, liquidity, risk, and the financial implications of strategic decisions. Lead accurate accounting, financial reporting, cash management, forecasting, budgeting, and regulatory reporting while maintaining internal controls, segregation of duties, and fraud risk mitigations. Oversee the full revenue cycle, including billing, collections, and denials, and own Paycom payroll processing, funding, taxes, and general ledger posting. Manage treasury, banking, debt, investments, and enterprise financial risk. Lead external audits, tax filings, funder reporting, and vendor relationship management for outside counsel. Partner with the COO on legal, regulatory, and operational matters, including state agency relationships and contract management. Collaborate with program leaders on program budgets, staffing affordability, and corrective financial actions. Requires a Bachelor's in accounting or finance with ten years of progressive financial leadership experience in a complex nonprofit, human services, health care, education, or government contracted environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- At least ten years of progressive financial leadership experience
- Experience in a complex nonprofit, human services, health care, education, or government contracted environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of grants and contracts, revenue cycle, payroll controls, audits, insurance, treasury, and governing body financial reporting
- Experience leading teams, strengthening systems, and communicating financial information clearly to leaders without a finance background
- Knowledge of regulatory cost reporting such as the Consolidated Fiscal Report and/or the Statewide Standards of Payment
