Job Summary

Manage the financial health of the Cooperative through oversight of all financial assets, employee and departmental management, and the Accounting and Purchasing departments. Lead short- and long-range financial planning, forecasting, debt financing, cash and working capital strategies, investments, insurance management, internal and external audits, financial reporting, analysis, accounts receivable and payable, and tax management. Monitor and support other departments' responsibilities for payroll, grant accounting, billing, and warehouse operations while supervising the transition to NISC software and implementing mapping, staking, and outage management processes. Full-time, in-person role with flexible start/end times between 7am and 5pm, including eligibility for a 9/80 schedule after six months.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration
  • 2+ years supervisory experience
  • demonstrated success in leading individuals and teams
  • 5+ years of verifiable experience in finance and accounting in senior leadership (CFO, Controller)
  • experience in public accounting
  • experience as an external auditor
  • experience within an electric utility reporting directly to the CFO
  • equivalent experience to the above
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to the utility sector

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree or certification preferred (MBA, MAcc, CMA, or CPA)
