Job Summary
Lead the organization's strategic direction by establishing long-range goals, plans, and policies in collaboration with the Board of Directors and management. Plan, develop, and evaluate the fiscal function while cultivating relationships with Medical Staff to ensure high-quality patient care. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, effective communication of organizational directives, and implementation of performance improvement and patient safety programs. Verify staff qualifications and competencies, negotiate contracts, and make decisive decisions on complex topics for the Board and external parties. Requires a strategic visionary with strong communication skills, analytical ability, and experience in healthcare leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors and/or MA degree (BS, BA, MA)
- ten to fifteen years related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Must be able to communicate clearly and in a controlled manner to the media and to employees
- Relates cooperatively and constructively in all interaction during daily activities
- Needs functional PC skills
- Knowledgeable and competent to perform essential functions
- Must be able to deal with a variety of personalities with whom the employee comes into contact with, both pleasant and irate
- Ability to visually and audibly perform all essential functions
- Moderate to high amount of walking, standing, sitting, reaching, pulling, pushing, stooping, and kneeling
- Minimum lifting requirement of 50 pounds
- Exposure to infectious diseases, blood and body fluids, and chemical products
