Job Summary
Chief Executive Officer responsible for the overall leadership, strategic execution, financial stewardship, governance, and regulatory compliance of Saint Vincent’s Nursing Home. Leads the organization’s mission, vision, and values; ensures high-quality resident- and family-centered care, financial sustainability, and effective governance. Reports to the Board, leads strategic plan implementation and performance reporting, builds and guides a senior management team, oversees labour relations and collective agreements, serves as primary organizational spokesperson, drives fundraising and capital initiatives, and ensures accreditation and licensing compliance. Requires Master’s in Health Administration (or equivalent) and minimum five years of senior leadership experience with strong communication and change-management abilities. Halifax, NS, Canada.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Health Administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum five (5) years of senior or executive leadership experience.
- Extensive knowledge of long-term care, geriatrics, and the healthcare system.
- Demonstrated experience in financial management, organizational leadership, and change management.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and decision-making skills.
