Job Summary
Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director sought to lead Metro Schools, a multi-site STEM district, with responsibility for strategic vision, academic excellence, financial stewardship, and external leadership. The CEO/ED will oversee academic programs, operations, compliance, and district sustainability across campuses; serve as primary spokesperson; build partnerships with universities, industry, policymakers, and community stakeholders; drive strategic planning, budgeting, fundraising, and resource development; expand enrollment targets, scaling systems and teams, and enhancing internal processes. The role requires a mission-driven, innovative leader capable of translating bold ideas into measurable outcomes, with strong communication, public leadership, and relationship-building skills; a Master’s degree in education leadership or related field and prior senior leadership experience in a multi-site school context are required. The salary range is $175,000–$225,000 plus benefits and performance-based bonus, with initial application deadline May 22, 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in education leadership, administration, or related field
- At least 5–7 years of senior leadership experience in a complex, innovative, or multi-site school system
- Proven success in financial management of large-scale budgets
- Experience in grant development, partnership building, and resource acquisition
- Commitment to fostering community, belonging, and safety in support of leadership and academic excellence
- Experience leading organizations through growth or expansion, including scaling systems and teams
