Job Summary
Lead as Chief Executive Officer for Bayou Bend Health System, overseeing a 22-bed Critical Access Hospital district in rural Franklin and surrounding parishes. The role requires strategic, financial, and operational leadership to drive growth through service-line development, physician recruitment, and community engagement while ensuring quality, patient-centered care and regulatory compliance. The CEO will report to the Board of Commissioners and collaborate with CHC corporate leadership, directing an executive team including the CFO, CNO, medical directors, and other leaders to achieve measurable performance goals, fiscal discipline, and sustainable success. A visible, relationship-oriented leader with clinical and operational acumen, the ideal candidate will balance local autonomy with corporate partnership, foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement, and advocate for rural healthcare. The position demands a Master’s degree in a healthcare-related field (or a healthcare-related degree with a business master’s or equivalent) and progressive senior leadership experience in hospital or healthcare systems, along with expertise in compliance, reimbursement, physician recruitment, and community engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a healthcare related field or a BS in a healthcare related field with a business related masters, or the equivalent in education and experience
- Progressive senior leadership experience within a hospital or healthcare system setting
- Demonstrated operational and financial leadership experience in a hospital environment
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and reimbursement methodologies
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage change, and build collaborative relationships
