Job Summary
Lead as Chief Executive Officer to guide MHAW into its next phase of growth, innovation, and community impact. Direct strategic direction in partnership with the Board, drive organizational growth and sustainability across programs, pursue partnerships and funding opportunities, cultivate a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, align mission, strategy, operations, and financial performance, and promote trauma-informed, recovery-oriented service delivery. Provide executive leadership to the leadership team, oversee operations, strengthen policies and performance management, monitor goals and outcomes, support succession planning and workforce retention, and ensure financial stability through budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, funders, government agencies, and strategic partners; represent the organization at events and coalitions; advance visibility and advocacy; ensure regulatory compliance, program evaluation, and accreditation readiness; lead workforce engagement and development in alignment with the mission.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- advanced degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nonprofit Leadership, or related field preferred
- 10+ years of progressive executive leadership experience in nonprofit, healthcare, behavioral health, human services, or similarly complex organizations
- Strong financial and operational leadership experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
- Experience with grant funding, public funding streams, managed care environments, and regulatory compliance preferred
- Experience working with Boards of Directors, community stakeholders, funders, and government agencies
- Strong executive communication, relationship-building and leadership skills
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
- Strategic thinker with strong decision-making and analytical ability
- Commitment to mission and trauma-informed care
