Job Summary
Store leadership role overseeing a big box flooring retailer: manage store operations, recruit and develop the management team, drive sales and profitability, ensure brand and store standards, control inventory and payroll processes, and coach staff to deliver excellent customer service. Responsibilities include staffing, training, coaching, performance management, scheduling coverage during peak periods, and maintaining compliance with company policies while relocating as needed to stores in demand.
Required Qualifications
- 3 - 5 years of management experience leading a big box retail store
- excellent customer service skills
- ability to lead a large team and direct operations at all levels in a high volume store
- experience in merchandising, sales generation, operations, inventory control, budgeting and P&L management
- experience recruiting, selecting, hiring, onboarding, developing and coaching retail sales and operations team
- strong communication, analytical, planning, organization, time management, and delegation skills
- ability to exercise independent discretion and judgment in a fast-paced environment
- availability to work retail hours and open/close the store as needed
