Job Summary
The Chief Estimator prepares detailed cost estimates for construction projects by reviewing specifications, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with standards, and improving estimating processes.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in commercial projects
Desired Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and estimating software
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other technical documents
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
