Chief Estimator

Lead the estimating department for construction projects, overseeing the preparation and submission of detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services. Develop and implement bid strategies and pricing models; analyze drawings and specifications; collaborate with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers to solicit bids and negotiate terms. Manage and mentor the estimating team, drive continuous improvement of estimating processes, and prepare bid proposals, prequalification packages, and tender submissions. Utilize estimating software (Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, WinEst or equivalent) to quantify costs, generate takeoffs, and produce cost budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections. Identify risks, perform constructability reviews, and contribute to profitability and strategic decision-making through accurate cost estimation and competitive bidding. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills are required to build client relationships and win opportunities; focus on profitability, growth, and competitive advantage in the construction marketplace.
