Chief Estimator - Drywall

Job Summary
Lead and direct the estimating process for drywall and interior systems projects throughout the Boston market, preparing detailed estimates for large commercial construction ranging from $5M to $30M+. Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to perform accurate takeoffs and cost analysis using On-Screen Takeoff and QuickBid. Develop pricing strategies to win competitive bids while coordinating with project management and leadership on bid strategy. Mentor and support other estimators as needed and maintain strong relationships with general contractors and industry partners. This leadership role focuses on producing disciplined estimates that win work while protecting margins for a highly respected union drywall contractor in the Boston area.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of drywall estimating experience
- Experience with union drywall construction
- Proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and QuickBid
- Experience estimating large commercial projects ($5M – $30M+)
- Strong understanding of drywall, metal framing, and interior systems
- Ability to produce accurate, detailed estimates under tight timelines
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Candidates currently working as Senior Estimator

- Candidates currently working as Lead Estimator
- Candidates currently working as Estimating Manager
- Candidates within a drywall or interior systems subcontractor environment
