Job Summary
Lead and manage the maintenance and engineering team while overseeing daily repairs, work orders, and preventive maintenance schedules. Ensure proper operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and life safety systems through regular property inspections and troubleshooting. Manage department budgeting, inventory, and vendor relationships while responding quickly to urgent issues and guest impact situations. Coordinate effectively with hotel leadership and all departments to maintain a clean, safe, and organized engineering shop. Ensure compliance with safety, fire, and regulatory standards in a hands-on leadership role with direct operational impact on guest satisfaction and hotel performance.
Required Qualifications
- Previous engineering or maintenance leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Organized, dependable, and safety focused
- Able to lead, train, and motivate a maintenance team
- Skilled in troubleshooting and problem solving
- Comfortable working hands on and managing multiple priorities
- Ability to lift, move, climb, and work with tools and equipment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible to work any shifts including holidays and weekends
