Job Summary
The Chief Engineer leads maintenance operations for hotel facilities, overseeing preventive maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural systems; manages a maintenance team; develops budgets; ensures safety compliance; coordinates renovations; maintains detailed records; and focuses on guest satisfaction through proactive upkeep and reliable service. Responsibilities include planning maintenance programs, conducting inspections, recruiting and coaching staff, controlling costs via vendor contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, overseeing safety audits, coordinating projects with architects/contractors, and generating expense reports. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and hospitality maintenance experience, with strong knowledge of building systems, codes, and a demonstrated ability to manage budgets and schedules. Working conditions involve physical tasks, standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and flexible hours including evenings and weekends. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry

- Budgeting and cost control expertise
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when needed
