Job Summary
Chief Engineer oversees the maintenance and repair of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems across the hotel property, including HVAC, elevators, boilers, and fire protection. Plans, organizes, and implements a comprehensive preventive maintenance program; establishes schedules, checklists, and protocols; prepares and manages the engineering department budget; evaluates vendor proposals and negotiates contracts; leads and mentors a team of maintenance technicians and engineers; delegates tasks with clear performance standards; ensures compliance with building codes, safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices; implements safety protocols and risk management strategies to minimize hazards and protect guests and staff; strong focus on reducing downtime, optimizing performance, and achieving financial objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ of supervisory experience in building maintenance or equivalent combination of experience.
