Job Summary
Chief Engineer leading hotel maintenance operations to ensure seamless guest experiences. Responsibilities include responding to guest requests with strong service, performing and supervising preventative maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks, leading Building Maintenance Tech I and II, coordinating tasks via the QUORE CMMS, overseeing third-party contractors, and supporting leadership from the Assistant General Manager and General Manager. Requires at least 2 years in a maintenance role (or 4-5 years in a related field) with experience managing at least one subordinate, hands-on maintenance proficiency, strong customer service focus, time-management, and physical stamina for a demanding environment. Travel about 10% is expected. Location: Mount Pleasant, SC, USA.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience as Building Maintenance Tech/Engineer or 4-5 years in related field
- Experience managing at least one subordinate
- Proficient knowledge of hand tools and maintenance duties
- Time management capability to accomplish work within established parameters
- Customer service focus and ability to anticipate guest needs
- Physically capable for a physically demanding role (standing, walking, bending, lifting, squatting)
- 10% travel requirement
