Job Summary
Lead engineering staff in hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluations while overseeing vendor management, departmental budgets, and preventative maintenance programs. Conduct daily walk-throughs to assess the safe operation of the physical structure, mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and related equipment. Execute projects, routine maintenance, and repairs in accordance with brand standards and building codes, presenting cost-effective proposals for all systems. Perform guest response and preventive maintenance work orders, scheduling tasks to minimize guest impact. Inspect, test, and certify all life safety equipment per code and brand standards, while assessing critical situations like fires or major malfunctions for immediate response. Maintain organized work areas, proper tool usage, and adherence to safety data sheets for chemicals. Ensure key security protocols and property grounds are maintained. Requires pool certification, three years of maintenance experience, and knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
Required Qualifications
- Current pool certification or the ability to obtain certification
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 years of experience in maintenance
- Hospitality experience
- Basic Computer skills to include processing emails, basic spreadsheet manipulation, and database/systems navigation including familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
- Knowledge of Methods, and materials used in general building maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, building and electrical units and HVAC
- Certified pool operator license

- Hospitality experience is preferred
