Job Summary
Lead the hotel Engineering team to maintain the building, grounds, and mechanical systems with emphasis on safety, security, and asset protection. Oversee vendor relationships, departmental budget, and preventative maintenance programs; hire/train/supervise engineering staff; manage life safety systems, code compliance, and incident response; coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs to minimize guest disruption; ensure safe handling of chemicals and proper storage of tools; maintain organized work areas and leverage electronic systems for work orders and maintenance tracking.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 years of experience in maintenance
- Hospitality experience preferred
- Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Knowledge of building maintenance methods and materials
- Must possess or obtain a certified pool operator license
