Job Summary
Lead and oversee the Engineering team, including hiring, training, scheduling, payroll, and performance. Manage maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, kitchen, and laundry equipment while developing preventative maintenance programs for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house zones. Oversee capital projects, renovations, contractors, and vendors; monitor project timelines, quality, and budgets. Ensure emergency and life-safety equipment are properly inspected, tested, maintained, and certified, and conduct property and fire-safety inspections to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements. Partner with General Manager and hotel leadership on short- and long-term property maintenance and improvement plans. Respond to engineering-related guest concerns professionally and support timely resolution of property or safety-related issues.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10 years of facilities maintenance or engineering experience, preferably in hospitality or property management
- Minimum 3 years of engineering/facilities management or leadership experience
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations, and general building maintenance
- Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly bend, squat, and perform physical maintenance-related activities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. independently and up to 100 lbs. with assistance
- Ability to work extended or flexible hours as business and emergency needs require
