Chief Engineer

Conduct daily inspections of the vessel and its equipment, ensuring strict compliance with company policies, Classification Society, and Transport Canada standards. Oversee the operation and maintenance of all shipboard equipment, developing short and long-term maintenance programs while planning refits and managing turnaround layovers. Carry out maintenance and repairs in the engine room, factories, and deck areas, directing engine room team tasks and collaborating with deck and factory supervisors. Champion the digital Safety Management System and ensure the vessel is operated safely and in a prudent manner at sea and in port. Maintain a valid Engineer's motor certificate, commercial fishing license, and required medical documentation.
