Job Summary
Chief Engineer responsible for supervising maintenance personnel and overseeing the preventative maintenance program, repairs, and renovations across multiple hotel properties in an assigned region. Duties include training and coaching maintenance staff, assigning and reviewing work, ensuring compliance with safety and hotel policies, conducting life-safety inspections, managing inventory and vendor relations, and traveling to properties as needed to oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems. Requires supervisory experience in facilities or hotel maintenance, EPA Type III refrigeration certification, and a valid driver’s license; role involves nights/weekends, fast-paced environments, and adherence to safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of two years supervisory experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations or engineering services for a hotel
- Certification and/or License Requirement: Professional certification and licensure if required by law
- Minimum Type III EPA Certification for refrigerant reclamation and charging
- Valid Driver’s License
