Job Summary
Chief Engineer oversees the engineering/maintenance of the hotel and ensures the safety and comfort of guests and team members. You’ll direct daily engineering needs, plan and assign work, develop your team through coaching, and ensure regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include maintaining hotel facilities, managing parts and supplies with a focus on green initiatives, safeguarding guest and staff safety, coordinating with outside contacts, and supporting IT-related maintenance tasks. Requires four years of management experience in building maintenance/construction, specialised skills in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry, and certifications such as Level 3 EPA HVAC; role may involve mid and second shifts. Location: Ohio, United States; Employment type: full-time.
Required Qualifications
- Some college or advanced vocational training
- Four years’ management experience in general building maintenance and/or construction or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Specialised expertise in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry fields
- Level 3 EPA Certification, HVAC and refrigeration certificate, licensed plumber and/or journeyman status for electrician and carpenter may be required
- Hotel experience preferred
- Professional certification and licence if required by law
