Chief Engineer (Hotel Maintenance)

Manage general and preventative maintenance functions to ensure guest service and sustainability standards are achieved throughout the hotel structure. Interview, select, train, and coach associates while maintaining the R&M budget and overseeing small projects or PIPS. Conduct room inspections, coordinate vendor bids, and perform hands-on tasks including electrical, plumbing, painting, and life safety system testing. Maintain accurate PM records, ensure compliance with local codes, and provide weekly updates to the Regional Director of Engineering. Schedule varies, including holidays and weekends, with physical demands involving lifting up to 50 pounds and extended standing.
