Job Summary
Chief Engineer leads and oversees the hotel’s engineering and maintenance operations, supervising a team, coordinating preventive maintenance in guest rooms and public areas, conducting inspections, handling emergency repairs, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, managing the engineering budget, and maintaining equipment and tools. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 2 years in hotel maintenance with supervisory experience preferred, strong knowledge of HVAC/plumbing/electrical/fire systems, ability to read technical documents, and excellent communication; bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus. Located in Eleuthera, Bahamas; on-site role with a focus on safe, efficient operation of hotel facilities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years as a hotel maintenance engineer
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Building trade licenses or certificates from the state of operation (highly preferred)
