Job Summary
Chief Engineer leads the Engine Department on a container ship, supervising all engineering officers and ratings, implementing the Planned Maintenance System (PMS), and ensuring environmental, safety, and classification survey compliance. Responsible for safe operation, maintenance, and repair of shipboard machinery and electrical systems; manages fuel, lubricating oils, and waste, maintains the Oil Record Book, and oversees bunkering operations. Requires senior leadership capabilities and shipboard technical expertise to coordinate maintenance and compliance from joining around 16 July 2026.
