Job Summary

Lead building maintenance, equipment repairs, and project supervision from start to completion. Manage and mentor maintenance staff, including hiring, counseling, discipline, and annual performance reviews. Purchase supplies and materials while adhering to budget constraints and maintaining necessary inventory. Perform quality control checks on all systems, supervise equipment installation, and ensure operations meet safety and cleanliness standards. Work closely with other managers to maintain reliable work attendance and positive team relationships.

Required Qualifications

  • 5-10 years commercial building engineering, or Facilities Management experience
  • Three years of supervisor experience as senior or equivalent lead role
  • Five years of facilities operational experience over multiple buildings
  • Experience in construction and maintenance cost estimating practices
  • Extensive experience in reading complex architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, communications and landscaping plans
  • In-depth knowledge of general maintenance practices for structural, mechanical, electrical and landscaping components
  • Working knowledge on the functioning of HVAC units
  • EPA Technician Certification
  • Universal Classification (preferred)
  • Massachusetts refrigeration license
  • Building automation systems experience
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to relate to people in a friendly and professional manner
  • Ability to follow established procedures
