Job Summary
Lead and manage all engineering and maintenance operations across the hotel, overseeing preventative maintenance programs, capital works projects, and contractor management. Develop and manage departmental budgets, capital expenditure plans, and asset management strategies while ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, fire safety requirements, and building codes. Monitor and maintain all mechanical, electrical, and environmental control systems, drive energy management and sustainability initiatives, and develop a skilled engineering team. This full-time role requires working closely with the Executive Team to ensure the property operates safely, efficiently, and in line with company standards and legislative requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in a Chief Engineer, Director of Engineering, or senior maintenance leadership role
- preferably within a hotel environment
- Strong knowledge of building services, preventative maintenance, compliance requirements, and asset management
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, capital projects, contractors, and service providers
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on operational efficiency and guest satisfaction
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems
