Job Summary
Lead engineering staff, manage the engineering program, and supervise all mechanical operations, maintenance, communications, and manpower development for assigned properties. Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment, identify issues, and respond to emergency situations including fire and equipment failures. Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs, building-specific manuals, and an Operations Document Library while coordinating with outside contractors and tenants. Oversee building systems such as fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical, manage utility consumption and costs, and ensure 100% compliance with safety programs and applicable codes.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of related work experience in a commercial property setting
- Vocational/Technical training certificate
- Appropriate license/permit for trade as may be required, i.e. Journeyman or Master Electrician License or City Licenses
- Universal Technician for CFC's depending on market licensure requirements
- Financial knowledge necessary for reading and understanding budgets, budget variances and basic reporting
- Familiar with Energy Management System (EMS)/programming and fire alarm systems
- Basic Computing Skills in Outlook, Excel & Word
- Must remain current with latest HVAC technology trends
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
