Chief Engineer

Job Summary
Oversee maintenance and operation of all building systems including HVAC, fire alarms, boilers, power systems, and utilities. Manage building aesthetics, coordinate remodeling projects, and schedule 24/7 preventative maintenance coverage based on occupancy forecasts. Ensure compliance with building codes, OSHA standards, and fire safety regulations while conducting departmental meetings and staff training. Coordinate with contractors and department heads on new construction, budgeting, and procurement. Work closely with the General Manager on hotel-wide operations, guest service, and staff performance. Requires open availability including nights and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 2 years' experience in a Chief Engineer or Assistant Chief Engineer position
- Experience in pools, spas, AC, drywall, and plumbing
- Must be able to speak, read, and understand English
- Must have open availability, including nights and weekends
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with food and beverage equipment
- Certifications in the major engineering disciplines (electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Chief Engineer or Assistant Chief Engineer position
