Job Summary
Directly supervise one or more electricians in the Operations Department, including interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, appraising performance, and resolving complaints. Plan wiring and installation of equipment such as motors, generators, and circuit breakers while ensuring compliance with company specifications, local electrical codes, and OSHA regulations. Interpret blueprints and job orders to workers, establish work procedures to meet production schedules, and analyze work problems to improve efficiency. Maintain time and production records, estimate materials, and coordinate activities with other supervisors. Requires a Master Electrician or Special Electrician License, five years of electrical experience, and a trade school degree or equivalent.
Required Qualifications
- Trade school degree minimum
- 5 years' experience in electrical
- Master Electrician or Special Electrician License Required
- Knowledge of national electrical codes
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Ability to effectively supervise staff
- Strong customer service skills
- Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic
