Job Summary
Prepare accurate and competitive electrical estimates for large-scale commercial, data center and industrial projects. Analyze blueprints, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and cost; identify labor, material, and equipment costs to develop comprehensive estimates. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to ensure precise cost projections; evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals for cost-effectiveness and compliance. Stay updated on NEC codes and industry best practices; assist in value engineering to optimize cost without compromising quality. Participate in bid reviews and presentations with internal stakeholders; utilize Accubid Anywhere to develop proposals. Preference for a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; 3+ years of Chief level electrical estimating experience; experience with large-scale projects, high-voltage systems, and design-build/fast-track projects.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of Chief level electrical estimating experience
- Strong understanding of NEC codes, electrical systems, and construction methodologies
- Proficiency in Accubid Anywhere
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with vendors, clients, and internal teams
- Ability to manage a team of estimators and meet tight deadlines
