Job Summary
Lead the design and oversight of a robust control environment across Data Strategy initiatives (DDLC, OKRs, Data Publishing Standards) as VP, Control Manager in the Chief Data & Analytics Office. Responsibilities include defining and socializing firmwide data governance controls, managing risks across LOBs/CFs, ensuring CORE data quality, governance, and reporting, and coordinating with Control Managers to drive continuous improvement. Requires Bachelor's degree, 7+ years in controls/risk, expertise in Data Engineering/Development, risk assessment, regulatory knowledge (GDPR, BCBS 239, CCPA), and strong communication.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- 7+ years of financial services experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance
- In-depth knowledge and experience with Data Engineering and/or Data Development/Architecture and Risk assessment
- Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts; ability to design, create, and evaluate a Risk & Control Self-Assessment with business partners
- Experience identifying Risks related to Data and implementing mitigating controls
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements around data (e.g., GDPR, BCBS 239, CCPA)
- Strong understanding of the three lines of defense in banking institutions, Compliance, Conduct & Operational Risk Frameworks
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and effective communication of complex topics
