Job Summary
Direct the functional area of controls design for the nuclear business segment by translating concepts, developing strategy, and implementing change. Provide technical consultation and leadership during the design process, presiding over formal design reviews while promoting division-wide initiatives related to design quality and reliability. Represent the Chief Engineer's Office in design practices and board activities, and represent GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy in industry groups to ensure codes and standards are appropriately applied. Offer technical mentoring and training, lending experience to solve technical problems and disseminate lessons learned across design organizations. This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information and up to 25% travel, including internationally. Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with at least 15 additional years of engineering experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- At least 15 additional years of experience in an engineering capacity
- Able to travel up to 25%, including internationally
- Able to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government
Desired Qualifications
- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or other Engineering discipline
- ACE graduate
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Leadership to pursue correct engineering process in adverse conditions
- Able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization
- Considered an expert in a specific engineering discipline
