Job Summary
Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy to drive revenue growth and profitability across manufacturing operations. Lead and manage sales, marketing, and distribution teams while negotiating high-value contracts and alliances to expand business reach. Build strategic partnerships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts, optimizing pricing and channel strategies to maximize volume and profitability. Oversee national sales operations, drive market penetration in B2B and B2C segments, and collaborate with production and supply chain teams to align demand and supply. Set and track KPIs, provide performance reports to the executive team, and lead a high-performing commercial team across sales and business development. Ensure compliance with industry regulations while monitoring market trends to inform decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related field
- 15–20 years experience
- minimum of 10 years in executive commercial leadership roles within manufacturing or PLC environments
- Demonstrated ownership of large-scale commercial operations, including multi-billion naira revenue portfolios and full P&L accountability
- Strong experience driving market penetration and brand dominance in highly competitive, price-sensitive markets
- Strong understanding of value chain, distribution networks, and retail landscapes (traditional trade, modern trade, e-commerce)
- Proven track record of leading business transformation or turnaround initiatives, including entering new markets or restructuring commercial functions
- Deep expertise in pricing strategy, margin optimization, and revenue growth management
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to link market insights to executable growth strategies
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
