Chief Central Plant Engineer

Job Summary
Chief Central Plant Engineer coordinates with vendors to ensure Central Plant operates as designed and maintenance contracts are met; oversees maintenance of mall HVAC across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, sprinkler, and fire alarm systems; supervises Engineering staff; assists with operating budgets and landlord/tenant build-outs; develops and maintains preventive maintenance programs; ensures compliance with Life Safety codes; manages EMS/CMMS usage, inventory and vendor coordination; provides on-call and emergency support; works with Operations Manager and General Manager on equipment replacement budgeting; may supervise external contractors and maintenance personnel.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- HVAC license through City or State government
- 2-year graduate of a Technical School or Certificate
- 5 years of supervisory experience
- minimum of 7 years of HVAC and facilities maintenance repair and management or related experience
- computer proficiency in EMS, CMMS, email and internet search
