Chief Building Engineer - Union

Supervise operations and maintenance of building mechanical, electrical, control systems, plumbing, and air handling units, responding immediately to service calls and emergency breakdowns. Conduct frequent inspections across all operational areas, generate work orders for critical findings, and institute corrective actions while managing preventive maintenance programs and CMMS scheduling. Monitor equipment compliance with codes, oversee hot work and red tag permits, and ensure staff adherence to safety policies and PPE requirements. Provide on-site training for personnel, support payroll and employee scheduling, and assist the project manager with long-range equipment replacement plans and energy efficiency recommendations. Submit weekly status reports and monthly dashboards, ensuring proper staffing levels and effective performance standards are met.
