Job Summary
Oversee engineers and maintenance mechanics while operating, maintaining, and repairing boilers, chillers, and auxiliary central plant equipment. Manage building mechanical, plumbing, electrical, structural, fire, and control systems, including troubleshooting MEP systems with minimal supervision. Monitor refrigeration, HVAC, and water cooling equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and maintain accurate logs. Lead the engineering team, supervise contractors, and manage Building Management Systems to ensure zero operational downtime. Comply with safety procedures and lead emergency response training. Assist with R&M, capital budget planning, and tenant service requests.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years' experience maintaining equipment and systems in commercial buildings
- Demonstrated knowledge of engineering and building systems
- History of trades education and training
- High-level experience and skills in operating, troubleshooting, maintaining, installing, and repairing equipment
- Basic technology skills necessary to manage work order applications on mobile phone and learn to operate Building Automation Systems
- High School diploma or equivalent, and must be able to communicate effectively in English
- Occasionally work overtime to perform necessary repairs or maintenance that are necessary to complete during off-hours
- Must meet the occupation requirements, such as lifting 50 lbs., walking distances, kneeling for 1 hour, and climbing ladders
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to assist with R&M, H, L& P and Capital budget planning
- Must possess a CFC Universal certification
