Job Summary
Lead and manage bridge and transportation structures projects as a Chief Bridge/Structures Engineer. Serve as Engineer of Record or Design Lead, direct data collection, calculations, and evaluation of design alternatives; oversee planning, design, and production of structural calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications for bridge projects; perform QA/QC reviews; lead marketing efforts for pursuits (FDOT Letters of Response, presentations, technical interviews); support construction phase activities; mentor junior engineers. Requires a B.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering, PE/SE licensure, 15+ years post-registration experience (and 20+ years in bridge design/plans production), extensive proficiency with bridge design software and related CAD tools, and strong leadership, communication, and time-management skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Structural Engineer (SE)
- 15+ years post registration structural engineering experience
- 20+ years of bridge design and plans production experience
- Experience with bridge design software (FB Multi-Pier, Leap Bridge Concrete, SmartBridge, LARSA, CSI, STAAD, MDX, Shoring Suite, Atlas, and FDOT MathCAD)
- Proficiency with Microstation, GEOPAK, OpenBridge Modeler, AutoCAD and/or CADD platforms
- Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications
- Strong leadership and mentorship abilities
- Valid driver’s license
