Job Summary
Lead DRMP's bridge engineering practice as Chief Bridge Engineer. Provide executive-level technical leadership, oversight of complex bridge and transportation projects, and direction for the Structures Division across Florida and the Southeast. Serve as the firm's senior bridge engineering authority, mentor senior staff, review engineering calculations and design standards, act as Engineer of Record on major projects, and drive QA, proposals, and client development. Key focus on FDOT Category 2 structures, post-tensioned concrete bridges, steel box girder and segmental bridge systems, and design-build/alternative delivery transportation projects. Strong collaboration with FDOT leadership, municipalities, and transportation agencies to shape major infrastructure initiatives. Proficiency with MIDAS Civil, CSI Bridge, OpenBridge/OpenBridge Designer, MicroStation, AutoCAD, and related bridge design software; leadership in engineering excellence, project delivery, and staff development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) required
- Florida PE strongly preferred
- 15+ years of bridge and transportation structural engineering experience
- Experience with FDOT Category 2 Structures
- Post-Tensioned Concrete Bridge Design
- Steel Box Girder Bridge Design
- Segmental Bridge Design
- Design-Build Project Delivery
- Alternative Delivery Transportation Projects
- Quality Assurance and Technical Review Procedures
- Experience as Engineer of Record (EOR) on major projects
