Job Summary
Define and maintain the target architecture for HealthShare, driving evolution from deployment-specific patterns toward reusable platform services that reduce adoption and operational costs. Lead multi-tenant, cloud-deployable designs for interoperability, security, and lifecycle management while establishing standards across teams. Mentor senior engineers to raise technical decision quality and steer roadmap sequencing based on architectural prerequisites. Review major designs to ensure consistency and reduce technical debt, aligning investments with Product Management goals to simplify deployment and upgrades. Operate as the senior technical authority, balancing architectural rigor with delivery realities to improve product economics.
Required Qualifications
- Deep experience with InterSystems HealthShare architecture and engineering
- Strong understanding of InterSystems IRIS and HealthShare platform patterns relevant to service design, interoperability, deployment, and lifecycle management
- Proven experience designing enterprise healthcare systems with substantial interoperability requirements
- Strong understanding of HL7 v2, FHIR, CDA/C-CDA, and related healthcare integration patterns
- Experience evolving existing platforms toward architectures that improve product adoption, simplify upgrades, and reduce operating burden
- Experience defining or guiding architecture for multi-tenant and operationally scalable systems
- Demonstrated ability to influence across teams and functions at a senior technical level
- Strong judgment in balancing architectural rigor with delivery realities and product economics
