Job Summary

Develop and execute an integrated engagement strategy that unifies fundraising, communications, media, and public education to support OCT's litigation priorities. Lead organizational fundraising to meet multi-year revenue goals by overseeing individual, foundation, and major gift programs while personally cultivating six- and seven-figure donors. Oversee brand strategy, earned media, and crisis communications to ensure compelling narratives elevate youth voices and legal impact. Directly supervise the Chief Financial & Operating Officer and senior staff to manage finance, operations, budgeting, and risk. Expand audiences through public education initiatives and community engagement efforts that are trauma-informed and youth-centered. Partner closely with the Co-Executive Director to translate legal victories into sustained public will and philanthropic investment.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience in fundraising, communications, advocacy, or movement-based organizations
  • Associate's degree and 8+ years of fundraising experience
  • Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of fundraising experience
  • Master's degree and 4+ years of fundraising experience
  • Demonstrated success leading major fundraising efforts, including major gifts and institutional funding
  • Experience designing and overseeing finance and operations at the organizational level, including business planning, financial systems, and operational processes, and leading executive teams through periods of growth, complexity, and change
  • Proven ability to integrate communications and development strategies
  • Experience managing and mentoring senior staff and multidisciplinary teams
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Deep alignment with OCT's mission and values
  • Some travel will be expected
  • Travel will be primarily within the United States and could expand outside the country
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds
  • Evening and weekend hours may be necessary dependent upon case activity, deadlines, and workload

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working alongside legal or litigation-driven organizations
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care and youth-centered approaches
  • JD or strong understanding of the legal system
