Job Summary
Senior fundraising leadership role guiding FPS’s advancement agenda to support Vision 2030 and the Respite Transformed campaign. The CAO will lead campaign strategy and giving, major gifts, planned giving, partnerships, and donor engagement; manage and mentor an advancement staff (three direct reports: Major Gifts Officer, Strategic Partnerships Officer, Grants Officer); collaborate closely with the CEO, Board, and senior leadership to drive strategic growth, fundraising metrics, and sustainability across regional and national initiatives; oversee external fundraising initiatives, budget, and ROI; represent FPS in philanthropic networks and with donors to expand support for FPS’s respite programs and national visibility. Key qualifications include a minimum of 10 years in progressive fundraising leadership, campaign experience, relationship-building capabilities, strategic and data-informed mindset, and experience with CRM systems and multi-channel fundraising; hybrid work model experience with onsite and remote work at the Plymouth Meeting, PA location.
Required Qualifications
- Senior fundraising leadership experience across multiple revenue channels (campaigns, major gifts, annual giving, planned giving, partnerships, foundations)
- experience leading capital campaigns
- strong donor stewardship and relationship-building with donors, Board members, volunteers and external stakeholders
- ability to develop and manage an advancement team; staffing strategy for a growing program
- ability to work with senior leadership, the Board, and partners to plan for sustainability and growth
- data-informed approach using CRM systems (Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT preferred) to guide strategy and decision-making
- excellent communication, collaboration, and strategic planning skills
- ability to oversee budgeting and ROI for fundraising initiatives
- willingness to travel regionally for donor engagement and events
- hybrid work model experience; capability to manage remote and onsite work effectively

- ability to represent FPS in the philanthropic community and with the Board during regional and national outreach
