Job Summary
Prepare annual financial plans, budgets, and strategies to maximize returns for infrastructure and highway construction projects. Monitor daily cash flows, manage receivables and supplier payments, and oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Develop detailed project budgets, analyze cost variances, and review interim payment certificates to ensure profitability. Identify financial risks, negotiate banking terms, and ensure compliance with Syrian tax regulations. Lead and develop a team of three accounting staff members, evaluate performance, and establish internal financial policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
- at least 3 years in project accounting or construction companies
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
- Strong knowledge and skill in report writing
- In-depth knowledge of contracting accounting, pricing mechanisms, tendering, and percentage of completion methods
- Ability to analyze data
- Good knowledge of financial and tax laws for companies in the Syrian business environment
