Job Summary
Plan and direct Vehicle Services operations at O'Hare Airport, managing asset acquisitions, maintenance tracking, and budget preparations. Coordinate area supervisors to ensure compliance with FAA regulations, department policies, and union contracts while overseeing training programs and performance evaluations. Direct human resources activities including interviewing, employee relations, and labor relations, and serve as a liaison to airport tenants and federal agencies. Establish operational budgets, prepare financial reports, and manage purchasing, accounts payable, and inventory functions. Represent the department in meetings with state and local agencies and respond to inquiries regarding repair and maintenance status.
Required Qualifications
- Nine (9) years of experience related to the responsibilities of the position, of which two (2) years are in a supervisory role related to the responsibilities of the position
- Graduation from an accredited college with an Associate's degree in a field related to the duties performed, including seven (7) years of work experience related to the position, of which two (2) years are in a supervisory role related to the responsibilities of the position
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in a field related to the duties performed, including five (5) years of work experience related to the position, of which two (2) years are in a supervisory role related to the responsibilities of the position
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree or higher in a field related to the duties performed, including four (4) years of work experience related to the position, of which two (2) years are in a supervisory role related to the responsibilities of the position
