Job Summary
Business Litigation Associate in Chicago handling complex litigation matters with responsibility for preparing initial pleadings and discovery, appearing at hearings in Federal and State Court, and providing general support to partners in civil litigation from inception. Requires 4–7 years of complex litigation experience, Illinois bar license in good standing, strong research and writing, analytical and organizational prowess, ability to manage multiple tasks for multiple partners, and ability to maintain client relationships while meeting billable-hour requirements. Competitive starting salary range of $180,000–$200,000 with comprehensive benefits and an emphasis on merit-based employment.
Required Qualifications
- Four to seven years of complex litigation experience in state and federal courts.
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and in good standing with the ARDC.
- Exceptional research and writing skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills; able to meet deadlines and manage multiple partners and tasks.
- Ability to manage relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Meet or exceed the required monthly billable hour requirements.
- Background check as a condition for employment.
