Job Summary
Chicago Area Journeyman Carpenter position with Performance Contracting Group in New Carlisle, IN. Perform skilled carpentry work including construction, installation, erection, maintenance and repair of wooden structures and fixtures (e.g., architectural woodwork, millwork, trim, concrete forms, metal and wood framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings). Review blueprints or specifications to determine work requirements; operate power and manual tools; perform heavy physical labor; follow safety rules and maintain a safe environment. On-the-job training offered; role is safety-sensitive.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years' previous experience
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to perform basic math
- Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside
- Physically able to perform assigned tasks
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time
