Chevrolet Residual Value Manager

Job Summary
Set Chevrolet's residual value strategy and business direction by establishing a multi-year operating plan that supports brand consideration, lease competitiveness, and profitability. Lead cross-functional execution across Sales Operations, Product Development, and GM Financial to drive portfolio decisions, while managing external relationships with valuation partners like J.D. Power and Kelley Blue Book. Deliver timely residual value publications, optimize lease models, and monitor performance indicators to ensure accurate forecasting and long-term used vehicle strength. Operate as an eighth-level manager with significant autonomy, reporting to the GM Global Technical Center at least three times weekly. This role requires a hybrid schedule, 10% domestic travel, and proficiency in advanced analytics tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, statistics, finance, marketing, planning, product management, or a closely related field
- 7+ years of progressive experience in the automotive industry, preferably spanning sales, marketing, product management, planning, finance, remarketing, pricing, or portfolio strategy
- Demonstrated experience leading people, developing talent, and delivering results through direct and matrixed teams
- Demonstrated ability to set strategic direction, establish priorities, and lead complex initiatives from concept through execution and sustained performance
- Strong business acumen and the ability to connect residual value drivers to brand strategy, customer value, sales performance, profitability, and enterprise outcomes
- Advanced analytical capability, including comfort working with large data sets, financial information, market trends, forecasts, and scenario analyses
- High level of independent judgment, accountability, creativity, intellectual curiosity, and comfort operating in ambiguity
- Exceptional cross-functional collaboration, networking, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence internal and external partners and align stakeholders around a common strategy
- Strong project, portfolio, budget, process, and governance management skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex analysis into clear recommendations and decisions
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and make timely decisions while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, along with strong computer and systems skills
- Ability to think beyond conventional approaches and develop innovative, scalable solutions
- Demonstrated energy, resilience, ownership, and commitment to teamwork and partnerships
- Ability to travel approximately 10% within the United States
- The ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis
- Successfully complete a Motor Vehicle Report review
Desired Qualifications
- Master of Business Administration or advanced degree in a related discipline
- Experience with residual value strategy, automotive remarketing, leasing, used vehicle economics, Certified Pre-Owned, CarBravo, or valuation and guidebook organizations
- Experience influencing senior executives and leading enterprise-wide decisions across a matrixed organization
- Experience translating market, competitive, customer, and financial insights into portfolio or product actions
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, advanced Excel modeling, or other data visualization and analytics tools
- Experience building performance management systems, operating rhythms, and governance models for complex business areas
